Tigerlili Resources has unexpectedly, acquired the use of a 25-acre retreat-style property with three structures on site; a main house, workshop, and a horse arena with stables. There is also 2 large stocked pond for fishing and swimming and a living creek at back side of the property.

The owner of the property is a 92 year old retired Air Force Pilot who is nearing the end of his life. He built this home with his own hands and creativity! It is beginning to become too much for his daughters to continue to care for and maintain as they both live 1 to 3 hours away. They

cannot sell the property until he passes. So, it sits in a Trust until then. They want to see “life” come from this homestead, but they also cannot make an income on the property, so the use of the property will be done in trade - Property Management and payment of utilities used in trade for no monthly rate charged and the first option to purchase the property when their father passes at a purchase price that is far under current market value.

His daughter approached Meredith, Founder of Tigerlili Resources, at a “random stop” at a “random” gas station just before the Missouri & Illinois bridge boundary. She saw wording on the rear window of Meredith’s truck that read “END HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN AMERICA – LEARN HOW” and she had questions….

“Hey! Whatcha guys got going on there?! What’s that all about??”

After a very short conversation of about 3 minutes, she interrupted the run-down of the ‘who, what, when, where, why & how’s’ of Tigerlili Resources and asked,

 

“So… Do you guys need a house??”…..

 

“Oh?! Ummmm…. SURE??!”

 

Five days later she was showing Meredith the property. After all parties involved previewed the property & learned the details, and after a few back and forth negotiations, an agreement was made and use will be given to Tigerlili Resources for the

KINGDOM COME MISSION RETREAT CENTER

The Mission Retreat Center will have several mission & ministry retreat uses, but the primary use will be for Tigerlili Resources’ minor survivors of human trafficking and their families/ foster families, by way of the program “Yellow Butterfly Ranch”.

Each family will get a 4-day/3-night, private stay at the Center to retreat together before getting into living life again. While on retreat, they will receive a session or two with a trauma therapist to gain some helpful tools to take home, they will experience the tranquility of equestrian therapy on an afternoon and they will enjoy all of the peace, beauty and fun that the property has to offer with fishing, swimming, trails, racquetball, a reading/writing nook and more!

When the property is not being used for “Yellow Butterfly Ranch”, the property will be available to various other ministries for retreat stays, prayer, worship, revival meetings, health & wellness, healing gatherings, and more!  

There are several repairs and updates needed inside, and a deck repair that needs to be made to the property to be able to fully and safely utilize it for retreat participants. Major repairs will be addressed after the purchase of the property electrical & plumbing updates.  

 

This project goal is set at: $500,000 over a 2-year time frame.
